Ahead of the by-elections on 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh, the political temperature has risen. The main opposition party, Samajwadi Party (SP), has accused the BJP government of removing names from the voter list. SP also claims that Yadav and Muslim officials are being removed from their posts. Now, SP has written a letter to the Election Commission of India regarding this issue.
SP state president Shyam Lal Pal wrote the letter to the Election Commission, stating that removing BLOs (Booth Level Officers) based on religion is an undemocratic move and raises questions about fair elections. He urged the Election Commission to take note of the situation. This letter, dated September 23, concerns the Sisamau seat in Kanpur.
