Haryana Election Results 2024: Although the BJP secured a significant win in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, it faced a setback as 8 out of 10 ministers from CM Nayab Singh Saini’s cabinet lost, along with the Speaker of the Assembly. Only two ministers managed to win. The 8 ministers who lost are:
- Gyan Chand Gupta (Speaker) – Panchkula
- Subhash Sudha – Thanesar
- Sanjay Singh – Nuh
- Aseem Goyal – Ambala City
- Kamal Gupta – Hisar
- Kanwar Pal – Jagadhri
- JP Dalal – Loharu
- Abhay Singh Yadav – Nangal Chaudhary
- Ranjit Singh Chautala – Rania (Independent)
Despite claims of an anti-incumbency wave, the BJP is set to form the government for the third time in Haryana. However, the loss of these 8 ministers is seen as a major blow to the party. Ranjit Singh Chautala, an independent candidate from Rania, was also among the losers. He ran as an independent after BJP denied him a ticket. INLD’s Arjun Chautala won the seat. Ranjit Singh had previously lost in the Lok Sabha elections from Hisar as a BJP candidate.
