Ratan Tata, the former chairman of Tata Sons and a legendary Indian industrialist, has passed away. He was 86 years old and took his last breath at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. After his death, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Ratan Tata, considered a ‘gem’ of India, will be given a state funeral with full honors. The funeral will take place today at 4 PM at Worli crematorium.
Where Can People Pay Their Final Respects?
Ratan Tata’s body has been brought to his home in Colaba, Mumbai. After that, his body will be kept at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) Hall in Mumbai for public viewing. People can pay their respects from 10 AM to 3:30 PM. After that, his body will be taken to Worli crematorium for the funeral, the same place where Cyrus Mistry was cremated.
Salute at His Home
The Mumbai Police honor guard team has said that Ratan Tata will be given a salute outside his home. The Mumbai Police Band has 23 members, out of which 21 play various instruments and two are guards. His body will be draped with the Indian national flag.

Abhinav Deshmukh, Additional Commissioner of Police (South Zone), said, “From 10 AM to 3:30 PM, Ratan Tata’s body will be kept at NCPA for public viewing. People coming to pay respects are requested to follow police instructions, as there is no parking available at the location. They should make their own parking arrangements.”
