Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a tough stance on the violence that erupted during the Durga Visarjan procession in Bahraich. The CM has directed strict action against the officers who showed negligence in handling the situation. He has also ordered strict action against those responsible for the communal violence. CM Yogi has asked the ADG (Law and Order) and the Home Secretary to submit a detailed report on the incident.

CM Yogi stated that the local police officers who were careless in managing the situation in Bahraich will face action. There is also a possibility that Bahraich’s SP, Vrinda Shukla, might be removed from her position.
