Anil Deshmukh, a former Home Minister of Maharashtra and a leader from Sharad Pawar’s faction, has reacted to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filing a case against him. Deshmukh has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said, “I am not at all scared of such threats and pressure.” He also accused Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of engaging in low-level politics.

Deshmukh’s troubles have increased as he is accused of pressuring the then Jalgaon police chief, Girish Mahajan, to frame false charges. The CBI has filed a case against him in this matter.

Deshmukh’s Statement
Reacting to the case, Deshmukh posted on ‘X’, “Thank you, Devendra Fadnavis. Another baseless case has been filed against me by the CBI. Seeing public opinion, Fadnavis’s ground is slipping, and this conspiracy has started. I am not afraid of such threats and pressure. I am determined to fight against BJP’s injustice.”
Deshmukh Criticizes BJP
Deshmukh continued to attack Fadnavis, saying, “People should see the low-level and twisted mentality of the dirty politics being played by Fadnavis in Maharashtra. This conspiratorial leadership was shown the door in the Lok Sabha elections. Now, the people of Maharashtra are waiting for the Assembly elections.”
Allegations by Sachin Waze
Recently, suspended police officer Sachin Waze alleged that Anil Deshmukh had received money through his personal assistant while serving as Home Minister. Waze also stated that he is ready for a narco test and that the CBI has evidence in the Deshmukh case.
