Atishi, the new Chief Minister of Delhi, has shifted into the official CM residence located on Flag Road, which was allotted to her after becoming CM. Earlier, this house was occupied by former Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal vacated the residence three days ago, moving out with his family.

On October 4, Arvind Kejriwal, along with his family, shifted to the official residence of AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal at 5 Ferozeshah Road, Mandi House.

What Did Atishi Say?

When Atishi took charge as the Chief Minister in Delhi Secretariat, a vacant chair was seen beside her. Commenting on this, Atishi said, “This chair will remain empty until Arvind Kejriwal becomes the CM again.”

She also expressed her thoughts, saying, “I feel like Bharat from the Ramayana. The BJP left no stone unturned to defame Arvind Kejriwal. When Kejriwal felt the people of Delhi needed to prove his honesty, he resigned from his position. But the people of Delhi will bring him back as CM, and I will hand over this chair to him.”

Kejriwal Understands Delhiites Well

Recently, Atishi addressed a public gathering at Chhatrasal Stadium, reminding people of the condition of Delhi 10 years ago. She mentioned that back then, there were long power cuts during the hot summers, and electricity bills were very expensive. Government schools lacked basic facilities like desks and chairs, and there weren’t enough teachers.

Hospitals were also in poor condition, and people had to mortgage their jewelry to pay for medical treatments for their loved ones. She highlighted that while different political parties came and went, nothing changed for the common people.

Since Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister, the situation in Delhi has improved. Kejriwal understands the problems of ordinary people and has worked to solve the issues faced by Delhi’s youth and citizens.
