UP BSP Candidate List: For the upcoming by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has announced candidates for 8 out of the 9 seats. BSP has decided not to field a candidate for the Khair seat in Aligarh but has declared its candidates for the other constituencies.

BSP’s candidates are:

  • Amit Verma for Katehari in Ambedkar Nagar
  • Jitendra Kumar Singh for Phulpur in Prayagraj
  • Shahnazir for Meerapur in Muzaffarnagar
  • Virendra Kumar Shukla for Sisamau in Kanpur
  • Avnish Kumar Shakya for Karhal in Mainpuri
  • Rafatullah (also known as Neta Chhidda) for Kundarki in Moradabad
  • Parmanand Garg for Ghaziabad
  • Deepak Tiwari for Majhwa in Mirzapur

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also announced its list of candidates for seven seats in the by-elections. For the Karhal seat, BJP has fielded Anujesh Yadav to contest against Samajwadi Party’s (SP) former MP Tej Pratap Yadav. Other BJP candidates include:

  • Sanjeev Sharma for Ghaziabad
  • Deepak Patel for Phulpur
  • Ramveer Singh Thakur for Kundarki
  • Surendra Diler for Khair
  • Dharmaraj Nishad for Katehari
  • Suchishmita Maurya for Majhwa

The by-elections for these nine seats will take place on November 13, and the votes will be counted on November 23. The seats became vacant because the sitting MLAs were elected as MPs during the Lok Sabha elections, while the Sisamau seat was vacated after SP MLA Irfan Solanki was disqualified due to a criminal conviction.
