The Congress party has made a major decision regarding the Haryana Assembly election. The party will contest the election without declaring a Chief Ministerial candidate. This means that no individual will be announced as the party’s CM face before the election. This information was shared by Ajay Singh Yadav after a meeting of the party’s central election committee.
Previous Practice
Before Haryana, Congress followed this strategy in the Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh Assembly elections last year. In all these states, the party did not declare a CM face before the elections. Now, Congress will use the same approach in Haryana.

Congress Promises
Earlier on Sunday (September 1), Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda made a promise that if the party comes to power after the October 5 elections, they will complete all pending recruitments in the state. He added that in addition to filling these vacancies, the party would also create one lakh new jobs. The recruitment process for these new jobs will start in the first year of the party’s government.
Filling Pending Vacancies
According to Hooda, Congress will ensure that all pending recruitments are completed without delay. Additionally, the process for one lakh new recruitments will begin as soon as the Congress government is formed. Results for recent recruitment exams for police and teachers have been postponed until after the elections.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini mentioned on Saturday that, as per the Election Commission’s orders, the announcement of these exam results has been postponed to prevent any influence on the elections.
