West Indies legend Dwayne Bravo has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. Bravo had already retired from international cricket in 2021, but now he will no longer play in T20 leagues either. However, even after stepping away from the field as a player, Bravo’s connection to cricket remains strong. He has now entered the world of coaching and will start a new journey as the mentor of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Bravo Becomes KKR’s Mentor
After retiring from all formats, Dwayne Bravo will now be seen in the Kolkata Knight Riders’ jersey, but not as a player—he will serve as the team’s mentor. This announcement was made by KKR through their social media page, with a caption that said, “Welcome our new mentor, DJ ‘Sir Champion,’ welcome to the city of champions!”
Before Bravo, Gautam Gambhir was KKR’s mentor, under whose guidance KKR won the IPL 2025 trophy after 10 years.
