Lawrence Bishnoi, one of India’s most notorious gangsters, manages to carry out criminal activities even while being in jail. Whether it’s extortion, firing at Salman Khan’s house, or planning assassinations, he seems to get it all done from behind bars. But how does he do it? During an interrogation by the Delhi Police’s Special Cell around three years ago, Lawrence Bishnoi revealed details of his network, showing just how cunning and organized he is.

On March 30, 2021, the Delhi Police’s Special Cell conducted a long interrogation with Lawrence Bishnoi. During this questioning, Lawrence admitted that even though he is in jail and his close associate Goldy Brar is in Canada, the headquarters of his gang is actually in Thailand, from where they operate.

By 2017, Lawrence Bishnoi had built such a big gang that it included a long list of criminals. One of them was Virender, also known as Kala Rana, who became a key member of Lawrence’s gang. In 2017, Kala Rana had a dispute with a former Haryana MLA, Dilbagh, over liquor contracts and sand mining from the Yamuna river. Kala Rana ended up shooting Dilbagh and his brother, which made him a feared figure in the region, and he started collecting protection money for the Lawrence gang.

Another key member of Lawrence’s gang was Kala Jathedi, who recently made headlines for his marriage to the notorious “Lady Don” Anuradha. Kala Jathedi’s right-hand man was Rajkumar, also known as Raju Basodi. In 2018, when the Punjab Police began cracking down on Lawrence’s gang and started killing some of its members in encounters, Lawrence decided that running his gang from India was becoming too difficult.

In his statement to the Delhi Police, Lawrence explained that he sent Kala Rana and Rajkumar (Raju Basodi) to Thailand to set up operations. He created a system where no gang member in India would communicate directly with another. If one member needed to talk to someone else, they would first call Rajkumar in Thailand, and then Rajkumar would relay the message to the other person. This way, no direct communication occurred between gang members in India. If Rajkumar was unavailable, Kala Rana took over this role as a mediator.

Rajkumar and Kala Rana set up what can be called a control room in Thailand for Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. Since then, all the criminal activities orchestrated by Lawrence have been managed through this Thailand-based setup. The rest of Lawrence’s story is long, and he has shared much of it with the police.
