Iran’s Foreign Ministry has issued a statement regarding the recent missile attacks on Israel. Iran stated that these attacks were in retaliation for the deaths of Haniya and Hassan Nasrallah. Iran also claimed that it targeted Israel’s military and security institutions.
Responding to Israel’s statement about making Iran pay a heavy price, Iran said that it has the right to self-defense and is fully prepared for it. Iran referred to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which allows for the right of self-defense, as justification for its actions against Israel.
Iran Questions Israel’s Attacks
In its statement, Iran added that after showing restraint for a long time, it finally used its right to self-defense. This reflects Iran’s responsible approach to regional and international peace and security, especially at a time when Israel’s destructive policies against the Palestinian people and its military attacks on Lebanon and Syria continue without any restrictions.

Iran’s Call to the United Nations
Iran emphasized that it specifically targeted Israel’s military and security institutions during its missile strikes, adhering to the principles of discrimination under international humanitarian law. It called on the United Nations Security Council to take action against Israel’s reckless actions and urged a halt to the financial and military support given to Israel by other parties.
Prepared for Further Defense
Iran also stated that it is fully prepared to take any defensive steps needed to protect its legitimate interests, territorial integrity, and sovereignty against any future military aggression. Iran made it clear that it will not hesitate to act if necessary.
