Focus on Roads, Rail, and Airports

The government also approved eight national high-speed road corridors, which will cover 936 kilometers and cost ₹50,600 crore. Other approved projects include the development of Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi, new civil enclaves at airports in Bagdogra (West Bengal) and Bihta (Bihar), 8 new railway line projects, and the Shinkhun La tunnel connecting Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh.

Focus on Infrastructure Continues in Third Term

In its previous two terms, the Modi government focused heavily on infrastructure development. The approval of these projects in the first 100 days of its third term suggests that the government will continue prioritizing infrastructure. These projects aim to improve connectivity, boost economic growth, create jobs, and make life easier for people.

How These Projects Will Help

For example, the new port in Maharashtra will enhance import-export facilities, and once completed, it will be among the top 10 ports in the world. The rural road projects will benefit 25,000 villages. The high-speed road corridors will reduce the travel time between cities. The tunnel in Ladakh will provide year-round connectivity, benefiting the region.
