Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha Election 2024: Ahead of the upcoming elections, two major BJP leaders, Nishikant Bhosale Patil and former BJP MP Sanjaykaka Patil, joined the NCP today, Friday (October 25), in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Shortly after joining, the NCP announced Nishikant Bhosale Patil as the candidate from the Islampur constituency and Sanjaykaka Patil from Tasgaon-Kavathe Mahankal constituency.
After joining the NCP, former BJP MP Sanjaykaka Patil said, “The NCP is part of the Mahayuti alliance. The two assembly seats, including Tasgaon-Kavathe Mahankal in our district, were given to the NCP. Since I wanted to contest from there, I joined the NCP.”
What Did Nishikant Bhosale Say?
Nishikant Bhosale Patil shared, “Today, I joined the NCP following our leader Devendra Fadnavis’s instructions. Since Islampur was assigned to the NCP, I had to switch from BJP to NCP. I am confident I will win from Islampur on an NCP ticket.”

Second List of NCP Candidates Released Today
Ajit Pawar’s NCP released its second list of candidates today, Friday. This list includes seven names, while the first list, released on Wednesday, featured 38 candidates, including Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar (Baramati) and other leaders.
