According to the report, a 71-year-old man and his 55-year-old wife have been arrested in this case. Both are accused of beating their 32-year-old mentally ill son to death. This incident is being reported on Friday evening. However, the body of the deceased was later found floating in the pond. Shortly after this, a video went viral on social media in which the accused parents are seen beating their son with a stick.
Why did the parents get angry at the son?
The deceased has been identified as Suhail Ahmed, who was a resident of Purhuria area of Karimganj. This place is close to the India-Bangladesh International Border. It is being told that the victim lived in the house with his parents for a long time. Local people told that Suhail was suffering from some mental problem, so the family members were fed up with his strange behavior. They told that Suhail tried to set his own house on fire on Friday, after which his parents got furious and started beating him.
Dead body found floating in the pond late at night
According to the local people, Suhail was beaten with a stick for a long time. After this, nothing was known about him. At around 10 pm, his burnt body was seen floating in the pond. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and the body was taken out. Police officials say that they have seen the viral video on social media. However, the accused parents claim that the video is very old. In such a situation, investigation of the entire matter has been started.
