AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh met with the family of party MLA Amanatullah Khan today. Singh met Khan’s family at his office. Amanatullah Khan was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today, September 2.
Earlier today, the ED conducted a raid at Khan’s residence as part of a money laundering investigation. Singh criticized the ED and the central government for what he called their high-handedness. He labeled it as an example of the Modi government’s “dictatorship.”
On social media platform X, Singh wrote, “Look at the ED’s ruthlessness. Amanatullah Khan cooperated with the ED’s investigation and requested more time as his mother-in-law is undergoing cancer surgery. Despite this, the ED raided his home early in the morning. There is no evidence against him, but Modi’s dictatorship and the ED’s goon-like behavior continue.”

After the raid at Khan’s residence in the Okhla area of Delhi, he was detained under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). According to PTI, the raid began around 6 a.m.
Sources say that during the raid, Khan was questioned but allegedly gave vague answers, leading to his arrest. He was then taken to the ED office in an official vehicle. Khan will be presented in a local court on Monday, where the ED may request custody for further questioning.
The money laundering case against Khan is linked to two FIRs. One was filed by the CBI for alleged irregularities in the Waqf Board, and the other by the Delhi Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for disproportionate assets.
