The BJP continues to criticize Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his statements made in the USA. Several senior BJP leaders have already spoken against Rahul’s comments. Now, the BJP is planning to surround his residence in Delhi on September 26. The BJP OBC Morcha will organize a protest march from the UP-Delhi border in Ghaziabad to Rahul Gandhi’s residence. Before this, BJP workers will hold protests in various districts of Uttar Pradesh between September 20 and 24.
BJP Leader’s Criticism
Speaking to the media on September 19, Narendra Kashyap, the President of the BJP OBC Morcha and Minister of Backward Classes Welfare in the UP government, criticized Rahul Gandhi’s statements. He said, “The Congress party has always been against reservations. I condemn Rahul Gandhi’s statement and want to tell him that his arrogance will not work in this country anymore. He does not like the progress of the backward classes, which is why he spoke against reservations on foreign soil. His statement is an insult to 85% of the country’s backward and Dalit population.”

What Did Rahul Gandhi Say Abroad?
During his visit to the USA, Rahul Gandhi spoke to students at Georgetown University on Tuesday. When asked how long reservations would continue in India, Rahul said that Congress would consider ending reservations when the right time comes, but that time is not now. He explained, “When you look at financial statistics, tribals get only 10 paise out of 100 rupees, Dalits get 5 rupees, and OBCs receive about the same amount.”
He further added, “The reality is that these groups are not getting proper representation. Look at the list of top business leaders in India. Show me a name of a tribal, Dalit, or OBC. I think there is only one OBC among the top 200 business leaders, while OBCs make up 50% of the population. But we are not addressing this problem. However, reservation is not the only solution. There are other ways as well.”
