Abbas Ansari, the son of gangster Mukhtar Ansari, has received a significant relief. The Allahabad High Court has granted him bail. This decision is related to an FIR filed against him for threatening a man named Abu Fakhar Khan and trying to take his land. Abbas Ansari, along with his uncle Atif Raza (also known as Sarjeel Raza) and close associate Afroz, has been granted bail. The court reserved its judgment on August 1 after hearing their pleas.

Justice Rajveer Singh’s single bench announced the decision. However, despite receiving bail, Abbas Ansari will not be released from jail yet. He still has a pending bail application in the Supreme Court related to another case. In contrast, his uncle Atif Raza and associate Afroz will be released from jail.

The FIR was filed by Abu Fakhar Khan on August 12, 2023, at the Ghazipur City Kotwali.

Charges:
The FIR was filed against Mukhtar Ansari, his wife Afshan Ansari, son Abbas Ansari, brother-in-law Atif Raza, Anwar Shehzad, and close associate Afroz. They are accused of fraud, extortion, threatening to kill, grabbing land and money, and conspiracy.

The allegations are that Abu Fakhar Khan owned valuable land in front of a homeopathic medical college. Mukhtar Ansari allegedly sent his brothers-in-law to call Abu Fakhar Khan to Lucknow jail in 2012, where he pressured him to transfer the land to Abbas Ansari. Khan was threatened with murder if he did not comply.

The accused reportedly paid Khan 20 lakh in a check and 4 lakh in cash for the land. During the process, Afroz, Atif Raza, and Anwar Shehzad took Khan to Abbas Ansari, who allegedly threatened him with a pistol and forced him to sign the check. They then withdrew money from the bank and took possession of the land. Mukhtar Ansari’s wife Afshan Ansari was also involved.

Atif Raza, also known as Sarjeel, is currently imprisoned in Lucknow. Mukhtar Ansari’s brother-in-law Anwar Shehzad has already been granted bail in this case.
