Ahmer Haider, also known by his real name Adeel Murtaza Khan, is a luminary in the Indian entertainment industry, celebrated for his versatility as an actor and his innovative endeavors. Born on 9 May 1972, in the picturesque valley of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Ahmer’s journey into the world of arts began early, marked by an indomitable passion for the stage and a natural talent that set him apart from his peers.

In the late 1990s, while pursuing his studies in Delhi, Ahmer’s magnetic charisma propelled him into the world of modeling. His recognizable face graced television commercials, mesmerizing audiences in video albums, and showcasing his acting prowess in TV serials for prominent channels like Doordarshan Jammu and DD Metro.

Despite early successes, Ahmer took a hiatus from the limelight after tying the knot, delving into entrepreneurial ventures. However, destiny had other plans. A collaboration with the distinguished music composer Sandesh Shandilya proved to be the catalyst for Ahmer’s return to the cinematic stage. In 2018, he made a compelling comeback with a cameo role in the thought-provoking movie “Bioscopewala,” signaling the resurgence of a formidable talent.

Since his return, Ahmer has graced the silver screen with riveting performances in films directed by maestros of the industry. From the intense drama of “Jihad” by Rakesh Parmar to the poignant storytelling in “Lines” by Hussein Khan, Ahmer’s repertoire showcases a depth of emotions and a commitment to his craft. His roles in “Country of Blind” and “Am I Next” by Rahat Kazmi, “Bed No 17” and “Fundbaaz” by Mir Sarwar, and the recent “Ha Madaano” song directed by Mir Sarwar, have garnered critical acclaim and adoration from audiences.
