According to the Brand Finance Global Food and Drinks Report 2024, Amul has been ranked as the world’s strongest food brand. This is due to the company’s impressive Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 91 out of 100, earning it a AAA+ rating. Amul’s brand value has increased by 11% since 2023, reaching $3.3 billion in the latest ranking.
On the social media platform X, Amul shared their excitement about being named the world’s strongest food brand by Food and Drink 2024. This annual report by Brand Finance highlights the most valuable and strongest food, dairy, and non-alcoholic drink brands.
Amul’s AAA+ brand strength rating saw a slight 0.5% decrease in brand value to $3.9 billion, placing it second in the list after being at the top last year. Currently, Amul dominates India’s dairy market with a 75% share of the milk market, 85% of the butter market, and 66% of the cheese market.
Globally, Nestlé is the most valuable food brand with a valuation of $20.8 billion. Lay’s is in second place with a $12 billion valuation, and in the non-alcoholic beverages sector, Coca-Cola leads, followed by Pepsi.
