In Chhattisgarh, ongoing anti-Naxal operations are reducing Maoist activities. On Thursday, August 29, there was a fierce encounter between Naxalites and police on the Narayanpur and Kanker border. Three Naxalites were reported killed in the clash.
Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar confirmed the encounter. The police are conducting a large-scale operation against Naxalites in Abujhmad, Narayanpur. The firing continues intermittently at the scene. All personnel are reported to be safe.
