Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and his longtime partner Gabriella Demetriades have officially registered their marriage in Goa, according to a PTI report. The couple completed the legal formalities at the Sub-Registrar’s Office in Mapusa, North Goa, on Friday, surrounded by a small group of close friends.
Sub-Registrar Suraj Vernekar confirmed that the marriage was registered under Goa’s Uniform Civil Code. Rampal and Gabriella, who is a South African national, currently reside in Succoro village near Panaji.
The couple reportedly reached the registrar’s office at around 4 pm. Unlike a traditional celebrity wedding, they arrived in casual attire and kept the proceedings low-key.
Special Permission Granted for Marriage Registration
According to Sub-Registrar Suraj Vernekar, the couple had obtained special permission from the Assistant Public Prosecutor of the local court to waive the mandatory 15-day waiting period between their first and second signatures required under the applicable law.
The official further said that the couple’s marriage certificate will be issued after 15 days.
The marriage registration marks a significant milestone for Rampal and Gabriella, who have been together for several years and have built a family together while largely keeping their personal life away from excessive media attention.
