JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Open: Key Dates, Steps & Exam Schedule Updates. NTA has launched the application window for JEE Main Session 2 on February 1, 2026, allowing fresh applicants and Session 1 participants to sign up via jeemain.nta.nic.in before the February 25 deadline.

Registration Timeline

The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registration closes on February 25, 2026, with exams revised to April 2-9, 2026, followed by answer key release mid-April and results by April 20. Admit cards will issue a few days prior; Session 1 candidates reuse their login credentials for faster application, skipping re-entry of personal details.

Application Process

Start by visiting jeemain.nta.nic.in, select “New Registration” or log in with prior Session 1 details, then fill contact, personal, guardian, academic, and exam preferences including Aadhaar-linked APAAR ID and live photo capture. Upload documents like photo, signature, and certificates, pay fees (₹1000 boys General/OBC for one paper; concessions for girls/SC/ST/PwD), and submit to get confirmation page. Separate forms needed per session, but best scores count for rankings.

Key Changes This Year

NTA introduced live photo verification, Aadhaar-direct detail pull, new sections for disability and emergency contacts, plus 32 added exam centers like Moovattupuzha (KL25) and Paschim Medinipur (WB13), with 4 removed. Revised Session 2 dates shifted from April 1-10 to 2-9 for better logistics; city intimation slips drop earlier for planning.

Expected Cutoffs & Results

Session 1 results due by February 12, 2026, post-answer key challenges; overall cutoffs project 93-95 percentile General (280-300 marks safe), 80-82 EWS/OBC, 61-63 SC, 47-50 ST based on trends. Toppers like AARAV BHATT (100 percentile, Haryana) from prior data highlight competition; Session 2 boosts chances for JEE Advanced eligibility.

Preparation Tips

Prioritize weak areas using Session 1 response sheets, practice mocks for normalized scoring (+4 correct, -1 wrong), and target NIT/IIIT via JoSAA. Monitor NTA site for city slips and revisions; dual sessions maximize percentiles for IITs, NITs, IIITs admissions starting June 2026.
