Fans eagerly awaiting Yash’s upcoming action drama Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups finally have a fresh release date to mark on their calendars. The highly anticipated film is now scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on August 26, bringing an end to months of uncertainty surrounding its launch.
The project, backed by Monster Mind Creations and KVN Productions, was first announced in 2023. Production officially began in October 2024, generating significant buzz among audiences across India.
Over the past year, the film has witnessed multiple postponements. Initially slated for release in April 2025, the schedule was revised due to production-related delays. The makers later targeted March 19, 2026, a festive window coinciding with celebrations such as Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi.
However, the release plans were disrupted once again. The production team subsequently shifted the film to June 4 but later decided to postpone it further. According to an official statement, the makers are currently focused on finalizing international distribution arrangements and strategic partnerships before unveiling the film globally.
The statement emphasized that while the previously announced release date could not be maintained, the team wanted to ensure a coordinated worldwide launch that aligns with its international ambitions.
Earlier, Yash had addressed concerns regarding the film’s repeated delays. Speaking about audience expectations, the actor acknowledged that fans often anticipate a fixed timeline once filming begins, making prolonged waits challenging for moviegoers.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is being shot in both Kannada and English. The film will also be released in dubbed versions across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, allowing it to reach audiences nationwide.
The movie features a star-studded cast that includes Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth alongside Yash. With its large-scale production and international rollout plans, Toxic remains one of the most awaited Indian films of the year.
