UP Politics: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has strongly responded to AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi over his recent statement that “Muslims are in danger.” In an interview with news agency ANI, CM Yogi dismissed Owaisi’s claim and said that Muslims are not in danger, but vote-bank politics is.
“Vote-Bank Politics in Danger, Not Muslims” – Yogi
Responding to Owaisi’s remarks, CM Yogi Adityanath said:
“Muslims are not in danger. Their vote-bank politics is in danger. The day Indian Muslims understand their ancestors, these politicians will have to pack their bags and leave. Indian Muslims must remember that they are safe only when Hindus and Hindu traditions are safe. Before 1947, Pakistan and Bangladesh were part of India. How can we forget that truth? Isn’t there a Hinglaj Mata temple in Pakistan? Isn’t there a Dhakeshwari Mata temple in Bangladesh?”
CM Yogi on Waqf Amendment Bill
Talking about the Waqf Amendment Bill, CM Yogi questioned the misuse of Waqf properties. He said:
“Why would BJP take over mosques? How much land will they occupy in the name of Waqf? These people are misleading the public. They have never done any welfare work in the name of Waqf. Instead, they sold Waqf properties for personal gain. Who gave them the right to capture anyone’s land? Who allowed them to take over public property? The Waqf Amendment Bill is necessary today. It will benefit both the country and the Muslim community.”
CM Yogi on Mosque Covers in Sambhal
When asked about plastic covers on mosques in Sambhal, CM Yogi compared it to Muharram processions and questioned the selective outrage. He said:
“During Muharram processions, don’t their flags cast shadows near Hindu homes or temples? Does that make Hindu homes impure? There are strict orders that no one should be forced to play with colors. Don’t Muslims wear colorful clothes? Then why do they object to colors? Why this double standard?”
