The opening ceremony of Paris Olympics 2024 has started. More than 6500 players from 206 countries took part in the 6 KM long Parade of Nations on boats on the waves of the Seine River in Paris. 117 athletes from India will participate in 16 Olympic sports in Paris Olympics. PM Modi has congratulated the Indian team.
PM Modi wished the Indian contingent participating in the Paris Olympics through social media platform X. The PM wrote, “The Paris Olympics is starting. My best wishes to the Indian contingent participating in it. Every athlete is the pride of India. I wish all the athletes to shine in the Paris Olympics. All of you wish to see the true spirit of sportsmanship.” Inspire us with your extraordinary performance.”
Olympic Games will run from 26 July to 11 August
The Paris Olympic Games will run from 26 July to 11 August. A total of 10,500 athletes from 206 countries and associations are participating in it. The number of the Indian contingent in the parade is 84.
