According to reports, Gautam Adani is currently the second richest person after Mukesh Ambani. Recently, there has been talk about his retirement, and in an interview, he responded calmly about his future plans.

A media report claimed that 62-year-old Gautam Adani is preparing to transfer his $213 billion business to the next generation. He plans to hand over his business to his sons and nephews and retire at the age of 70. However, the Adani Group has clarified this matter.

The company stated that there was confusion about Gautam Adani’s retirement plans. It was wrongly reported that he would pass on equal shares of the business to family members and trusts. The company clarified that there is currently no plan for Gautam Adani’s retirement.

The statement from the company also mentioned that Adani’s comments about family trusts and heirs were misinterpreted. He had only mentioned his two sons and two nephews in his statement.

Notably, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index, Gautam Adani is the second richest person after Mukesh Ambani. In the interview, Adani mentioned that he is happy with how his successors are performing. He said they need to work together to build a legacy.

At the end of the interview, when Gautam Adani was asked what he would do after retirement, he replied simply. He said that after all the transactions are completed, he plans to relax and enjoy his retirement.
