Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 AD” Sees Record-Breaking Release, Projected to Earn Rs 200 Crore Globally on Day 1
Nag Ashwin’s film “Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, has been released worldwide on June 27. The movie blends Hindu mythology with a dystopian setting, where a group is on a mission to save Deepika Padukone’s character’s unborn child, who is believed to be Kalki, the avatar of Lord Vishnu.Industry tracker Sacnilk predicts that “Kalki 2898 AD” could earn around Rs 200 crore globally on its first day and up to Rs 500 crore over the first weekend. If achieved, this would set a record for 2024 and mark another major success for Prabhas. In India alone, the film is expected to bring in Rs 120-140 crore on its opening day, a feat no other film has accomplished this year.
