At the Democratic National Convention held in Chicago, Kamala Harris expressed her gratitude to Joe Biden. She said, “I will always be grateful to Joe Biden.” In her speech on the first day of the convention, she celebrated President Biden, saying, “I want to start by celebrating our incredible President Joe Biden. Joe, thank you for your historic leadership and lifelong service to our country. We will always be grateful to you.”
Harris added, “People from every corner and every walk of life are here, and this November, we will come together and declare that we are moving forward. We must always remember – when we fight, we win.”
Harris, 59, will officially accept her nomination as the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate for the November 5 election.
The convention is expected to have around 50,000 visitors, including about 4,000 delegates. The theme of the convention is “For the People, For Our Future.” According to DNC officials, Monday’s theme was “For the People.”
