HMD Global is set to launch a new, affordable 5G smartphone soon. This phone may look similar to the Nokia Lumia from the past decade. Details about the phone’s design and features have leaked online.

HMD Global is planning to release a smartphone that resembles the Nokia Lumia. The company, which makes Nokia-branded phones, has been launching smartphones under its own name since the beginning of the year. HMD is rebranding the Nokia smartphone ecosystem. A phone that looks like the Nokia Lumia has been spotted online. Besides this phone, HMD is also preparing to release several new series in the market.

Recently, HMD launched budget smartphones in India named Crest and Crest Max. Now, the company is expected to launch the Barbie Phone and HMD Hyper soon. The Nokia Lumia-like phone might be called the HMD Skyline. It could feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and a 50MP OIS camera.

Features to Expect

The upcoming HMD phone might come with an OLED display panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The display could offer FHD+ resolution. The HMD Skyline is expected to have budget-friendly hardware with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. It may also support a microSD card.

The phone might have a triple camera setup. The main camera could be a 50MP OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera. Additionally, there could be 13MP and 8MP cameras on the back. For selfies and video calls, the phone might feature a 50MP front camera. The HMD Skyline is likely to come with a 4,700mAh battery and support 33W USB Type-C fast charging. It may run on Android 14.
