In Mumbai, on a fast air-conditioned (AC) local train from Churchgate to Virar, a passenger assaulted the chief ticket inspector. Sources say that when Chief Ticket Inspector Jasbir Singh was checking tickets, he found three passengers traveling in the AC local train with first-class tickets. Singh asked them to pay a fine as per railway rules. At this point, another passenger, Aniket Bhosale, began arguing with Singh and then became physical.

An official reported that when the train reached Borivali station, Singh asked Bhosale to leave the train, but Bhosale refused. He fought with Singh, causing Singh to get injured and tearing his shirt. In the scuffle, Singh also lost 1,500 rupees in fines collected from other passengers. The train was delayed at Borivali station due to the altercation.

Apology and Resolution

RPF officers arrived at the scene and managed to control Bhosale, who was then removed from the train at Nalasopara. Following the incident, a case was filed against Bhosale. However, Bhosale later admitted his mistake, returned the lost 1,500 rupees to Singh, and submitted a written apology to the authorities. He expressed concern that a police report could affect his job and apologized for his actions.
