Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is in jail for a ₹200 crore extortion case, has made a shocking offer to the world’s richest man, Elon Musk. The jailed fraudster has written a letter offering to invest $2 billion (around ₹17,000 crore) in Musk’s microblogging platform, X (formerly Twitter).
Sukesh’s Offer to Musk
In his letter from Delhi’s Mandoli Jail, Sukesh wrote that he wants to invest $1 billion immediately in X and another $1 billion next year. His letter stated:
“Elon, I want to invest $1 billion in your company X right away and another $1 billion next year, making a total investment of $2 billion.”
Praises for Musk and Trump
Sukesh also praised Musk, calling him “my man” and described former US President Donald Trump as his “big brother.” He congratulated Musk for his leadership in the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an agency that Trump had assigned to reduce government spending.
In his letter, Sukesh wrote,
“Elon, I truly admire you. You are solid, a tank man, bulletproof. What you have created is amazing, and being part of it would be my greatest achievement.”
Earlier Offer to OpenAI
This is not the first time Sukesh has made such an offer. Three weeks ago, he sent a similar letter to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, offering to invest $2 billion in the company’s Indian operations.
In his letter to Altman, he wrote,
“As you and your company are working towards becoming part of India’s national AI agenda, I want to invest $1 billion in OpenAI immediately and increase it to $2 billion over the next five years for your Indian operations.”
Sukesh also defended himself, saying,
“Sam, like you started from zero, I also had humble beginnings. The only difference is that I have many allegations against me. I have been falsely accused and tagged with legal cases, but none have been proven against me.”
Why is Sukesh in Jail?
Sukesh Chandrashekhar is currently in jail for a ₹200 crore extortion case. He has also claimed to be in a relationship with Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez. Over the years, he has written letters to many well-known personalities, including former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Last year, he even proposed buying a majority stake in Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Sukesh’s letters and offers continue to grab attention, but whether these claims hold any truth remains a big question.
